Thank you all for taking part of the first installment of RSA x RISD Tokyo: Creative process.
This first event between RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and
Commerce) and RISD Tokyo (Rhode Island School of Design Tokyo alumni club) initiated with a
casual presentation on the Industrial Design Process. From linear thinking processes to
associative mind mapping, from ideation to prototyping, the adaptability of the process crosses
disciplines and industries. Through the investigation of the various tools designers use to
optimize innovation and emphasize integrity we had the opportunity for a rigorous discussion
ranging from branding to the position of AI in the creative process.
We look forward to renewed the experience while broadening the scope of the creative process
in diverse fields and share it with everyone. It is our hope that each take home a new or
different perspective that may spark ideas and collaborations in unexpected ways.
To sum up a great evening, please find below a quote by William Pollard:
“Learning and innovation go hand and hand. The arrogance of success is to think that what you did yesterday will be sufficient for tomorrow.”
